I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Multi-Country Views

We are developing one application that is used in 12 countries.
For each country we have small differences in the use-cases (other screen layouts, additional fields, a couple of extra flows)

It would be great if we could incorporate these small changes in one use-case powerpoint deck (and not make a step/flow mess) instead of 12 decks for 12 countries.

Maybe you guys could come up with something smart for this scenario? (Country tag filter ?)

    • make it an option to combine all the test cases into one word document

Currently the test case generation option allows you to export test cases into word. The current functionality creates a separate word document for each test cases. The suggestion here is to make it an option to either export the test cases all into one word document or into separate word documents.

      • Create a new TFS WORKITEM directly from PowerStory

As a BA I want to be able to create a NEW TFS workitem directly from within PowerStory, so that I don't have to go into TFS to create the workitem.

        A typical scenario:

I have been working on defining a new requirement using PowerStory and would like to now formalize this requirement in TFS, as we use TFS for requirements management. Instead of the current process where I need to open up tfs and then add the requirement, I want to be able to do the following

        a) from within powerstory, select an option to create a new tfs…

        • Support for "extends" relationships between PowerStory Use Case Storyboards

As a BA I would like to be able to define extends relationships between PowerStory Use Case Storyboards, so that I have the options to separate a complicated alternate flow into a separate "extends" use case storyboard.

As a BA I would like to be able to define include relationships between use cases to promote use case reuse and decomposition.

            • Create TFS "User Story" workitems from subset of steps in the use case

The ability to select a subset of steps within the use case storyboard defined in powerstory, and export that subset as a NEW or existing "user story" or "product backlog item (PBI)" or "task" workitem type within TFS.

In addition, keep track of what has been exported using a visual cue of some sort within the powerstory use case storyboard. For example, you could change the background color of the steps that have been exported, and also provide a dialog that a user can browse to see what steps have been exported to what workitems.

              some examples:

              I could select…

              • Remove trace to old test cases, when creating new test cases

Currently, when generating test cases, the old test cases remain traced workitem/requirement. This suggested feature would provide the end user with the ability to select an option that would delete all test cases previously generated by PowerStory and traced to the same workitem/requirement.

                • Ability to insert links to requirements stored as TFS workitems - with traceability

                  1) When editing a step, allow me to find a requirement stored as a workitem in TFS and create a hyperlink to be inserted at the cursor location.

                  2) If this powerpoint document is attached to a TFS workitem, then update the traceability for that workitem to have two-way links to the requirements workitem linked to in step 1 above.

                  • Add automated best practices review of use cases.

perhaps PowerStory could automate the validation of the following
                    1) that each step has an actor -> this is done in test case generation, but make it available without doing test case generation.
                    2) make sure each slide has a UI Mockup or some other form of content.
                    3) Make sure that the alternate flow conditional step has the same actor as their parent branching step.
                    4) Only allow direct links from step to step,
                    a) where the destination step is in one of the steps parent flows. ie. don't allow a user to create a "direct" link from one…
