    • Add ability to name test cases

Add ability to provide a distinct name for each test case when exported to either TFS or Word.

A meaning name for each test case would provide greater context to the person conducting the tests.

And if you figure out how to add names to test cases, it would be even more helpful if we could provide a description for the test case which was included in the Word document and/or TFS Test Case summary.

I believe each test case has a distinct end slide if you need a place to store the information...?

      • Include slide notes in TFS test cases

Currently, when a TFS test plan is created, only the title for each slide is included under Action or Expected Result for each step. Add the ability to also include the slide notes as additional lines of text for the corresponding Action or Expect Result.

Including the slide notes would make it easier to include additional comments or notes without requiring the tester to open the attached slide.

        • Include slide notes in Word test cases

Currently, when generating Word test cases, each step can optionally include an image of the slide. I would like the step to also show the notes for the slide. This should be available whether or not the slide image is included.

By including notes, we could easily build test cases and story boards without needing to build the image for each step. It also allows us to augment the image with additional descriptions as opposed to adding call-out text on the slide.

Also, the Word test cases do not currently contains the Pre/Post conditions, but slide notes is probably more…

          • Provide a document that shows enlarged UI Controls from the powerWIREFRAME UI Controls Library

It would be useful to have a document to refer to that had enlarged images of all the controls in the UI Controls Library. Right now, when I try to use it, I just have the small images of the controls and have to drag and drop them before I see what it really looks like. I would like to be able to refer to larger images of the controls so that I can more easily pick the appropriate control.

              Hi Curtis,

              Thank you for the feedback.

Yes this is something we have been wanting to improve in some way, but still make it possible to easily add UI Controls yourself. Right now we create an image in the UI Control panel based on the shape that was added, and if that shape is rather large, it can be difficult to see what the UI Control will look like.

Having a separate document is certainly a possibility, but I would think it would be quicker for you to drag it to the canvas and see what it looks like than to look it up in a separate document.

I think perhaps a better approach would be to provide some type of preview options perhaps on hover, or privide a small preview button beside the name of the UI Control. With the intent to show a large preview image of the…

            • Support for Mutiple Actors Outside of the System

I've noticed something about PowerStory that bothers me when I try to model Use Cases that involve Actors who are outside of the System. Since PowerStory only supports User and System actors, there is real problem when trying to include actors, such as, external Payment systems or other SOA interactions, between the primary System and those external systems.

Is there a way to model these interactions in the latest version of PowerStory? If not, when do you expect to add this capability?

During my short trial period, I'm not totally convinced that this is the right tool for me.

              • Show powereditor and UI lib when the powerstory tab is selected

When I click the powerstory tab the two options (editor and UI library) should appear.

Right now, each time I go to the tab I need to restart the two items. This is slow.

Also should turn off the edit if I close the tab.

use case diagram contains the same information as the use case storyboard, so although interesting, it does not provide enough value to warrant adding additional complexity to the product.
